This is a beautiful reproduction. I only wish that the dust cover at the back was thicker, as I managed to tear it slightly while trying to hang the painting. Nevertheless, it is beautiful and makes me happy every time I look at it.

This painting is beautiful in original form, I'm sure. This reproduction is entirely overpriced, poorly framed and a huge dissapointment. The picture itself is open to air (no glass), the frame is cheap and does absolutely nothing to enhance the artwork. This is the only place you can buy this print, by the way, so it's priced high. It was too much to ship back so I kept it. As others noted, why won't you sell a print and let the buyer mat and frame? You could at least offer framing, matting options on your website. This may look good in some settings, as framed, but it's just not going to work in a more formal environment. This is my last purchase - I'm returning to other museum gift shops. Very dissatisfied. I previously bought the matching throw which is way more vibrant - the weave is poor and threads started snagging immediately and it's a mess now. The throw is extremely bizarrely overpriced. The colors in painting are much less vibrant than throw. I've shown the art work to several people (I mat and frame all my art, 90% of which is original) and they flat out asked me, "Did YOU frame this??" - it's that cheap and unfinished looking.

This artwork is truly delightful, the color is vivid and realistic. I read the other reviews and when the artwork arrived I had the frame changed and added matte board to give it a more elegant look. I just love it. It's perfect over my fireplace.

We loved this Seligman print for quite some time and finally decided to make the purchase and are delighted with it. In our opinion the frame is perfect for the piece and it looks wonderful in our foyer. We have it positioned right at the bottom of the staircase.
There was astounding shipping turnaround for such a large piece.

Saw this in the catalog, wanted it, but didn't have a place for it. We just redecorated our home office and created a space. The office walls are gold, furniture is black, sofa is black and khaki buffalo plaid. This print looks amazing in there. Beautiful repro, excellent quality, and definitely a good value!

A truely beautiful artwork exclusive to the Art Institute of Chicago that is always a pleasure to view in our home.

Can't say much more other than the purchasing process was first class with very prompt shipment and delivery.

I saw this in the catalog and it was love at first sight. The colors match all my furniture and style and I immediately ordered it. It came within 6 days if I remember correctly and the packaging was superb. Had it up on the wall in about 20 minutes and it is exactly as in the catalog. I am fully satisfied with this purchase.

This print has been hanging over our fireplace for some months now and my wife and I remark how perfect the work of art is. From the first look at the catalog's cover to when we opened the expert packing it came in to when we hung this print, we knew this was something special. We did have it reframed choosing a copper colored frame that more beautifully enhances the colors of the picture. We are not art experts, but have enjoyed what we have purchased simply because we really like them.

This print has been on my MUST HAVE list ever since I saw it in your catalog this past fall. I researched the artist and decided to make the purchase. It is a lovely addition to my home!

I have purchased seven wall arts, all visually compatible, from The Art Institute. The Hoffman canvas is especially exciting but in no way diminishes my love for the other acquisitions. The Seligman is superbly lovely. Uniquely, it is my only purchase which arrived flawed: the top of the blonde wood frame was cut too short and the left and right upper joints could not be pressed in to eliminate large and visually distracting gaps in the corners. Gorilla glue, two flattented tooth picks, and gentle sanding eliminated the gaps. No guests notice my handiwork to repair a flawed frame; all admire the artistic expression and supreme beauty of the print, and I, too, love it.

This is our third experience ordering wall art from the Chicago Art Museum Shop. We will come back for more. The customer service phone contacts are very informative if you need reassurance about your purchase. The pieces are excellently protected for shipping. I like the laminated prints because the daytime sun or evening lights are not reflected off glass. I do agree with other review from Brad; I would have preferred to frame the print on my own. I was concerned about the light wood frame as it hangs over a dark espresso finished buffet, but the contrast works well.

The frame is metal and pretty poorly made, and the paper back is very thin. The picture itself is really beautiful though.

Thank you for taking the time to review our product. Please note that the frame is made of wood and that the thin paper backing is a dust cover.

We purchased this piece based on its appearance online, on the cover of the catalog and according to the reviews here. My take on the Art Institute's rendition differs from the other reviews. Opening the packaging, it was clear that the piece was very well-protected, maybe even overkill leading to the expensive shipping ($100). Once we freed the artwork we were very disappointed. The frame is a laminate and there were areas where the laminate was obviously pulling away from the wood. The frame bowed at the bottom, looking warped. The color, that looked gold on the catalog, is really maple and, unlike some reviews that suggest it goes along well with the piece, we found it to be way to light, not bringing out tones from the piece, and too informal.
The Seligmann piece, itself, quite frankly looked like inexpensive poster board with colors muted/washed out, and not vibrant as some reviewers have described it.
So, all that was the bad part. Here is the good part, sort of...for us. Given that we loved the Seligman piece and had already wasted $100 on shipping, we decided to take the piece to our local framing store. The framer agreed with our perceptions re. the frame. We experimented with the use of glass and a frame with copper highlights. Voila...a picture that punched the colors and a frame that was, in our opinion, perfect for the picture and for a more formal setting. We only wish that the store would have sold the print alone and left the framing to the customer! Would've saved us a ton of money! But we now have artwork we love that looks well in our house.

I saw this beautiful piece of art in your catalog a couple of years ago and have lusted over it ever since. Sometimes a piece of art "rings your bell", so to speak. I finally had the good sense to order it and have placed it over the fireplace in the family room where illumination lights make it even more amazing. Because it does not have a high gloss finish, there is no glare from the lights. It is stunning, interesting and generates many wonderful comments. I couldn't be more pleased!

Fits perfectly with our color scheme. Paper backing is very flimsy. Take care in hanging to avoid tearing it.

When I saw this print on the cover of the catalog, it really spoke to me. I was not disappointed when I finally received it. It is a lovely, lively print. Be aware that it is shipped in a large box about 5' x 4'. I also thought it was damaged when I removed it, but upon closer inspection, I realized that the imperfections were the artist's brush strokes. Overall, a good buy.

We just received the Seligman print and it is even more beautiful than it appeared in the catalog. I loved it when I first saw it, but then I realized that it could enliven an otherwise blah sofa in our living room. It really does add a beautiful focus to the space and it looks custom made for the area. It is a perfect purchase.
Also, we were very impressed with how well it was packaged for delivery. We couldn't be happier.

I have been looking for a piece of art to put above my fireplace for several years. Whenever I would go to a art gallery or see things in catalogs, I would consider various items. This painting was on the cover of the last catalog and the photo inside of the catalog shows it with two vases. Well, I bought both the picture and the vases. The vases really were important to the overall effect. My living room just looks smashing now. I tell you, it is amazing how good this looks. (Be aware that my walls are painted a pale oats color that accentuates the effect. If the walls were white, it might not look as good.)

On rare and happy occasions, one discovers a painting that literally takes the breath away. Some pieces needs to be contemplated before becoming accessible; this one struck my soul directly and forcefully. Its effect was quite stunning.

Looks great in our new home. When we first found it in the catalog, we were concerned that it would have a glossy finish. Well it did not. The colors are vibrant and on the wall, it looks better than in the catalog. The frame is a perfect compliment to the print.
It came very quickly and was in perfect condition. The packing was great and very protective.
We are happy in every respect and everyone who sees it provides positive comments.
