Bookend developed from Edward Kemeys’ Lion, 1893 from the Art Institute of Chicago’s collection.

Edward Kemeys's (American, 1843–1907) stately lion statues that flank the museum entrance have inspired this replica bookend.  Named for his pose, our lion is "on the prowl" with his tail pointing down.  Perfect on an office desk or for bookshelves at home. Bookend mounted on a wooden base.
