Lion Bookend—Tail Pointing Up
DESIGN MASTERS ASSOCIATES, INCBookend developed from Edward Kemeys’ Lion, 1893 from the Art Institute of Chicago’s collection.
Edward Kemeys's (American, 1843–1907) stately lion statues that flank the museum entrance have inspired this replica bookend. Perfect on an office desk or for bookshelves at home. Named for his pose, our lion "stands in an attitude of defiance", with his tail pointing up. Bookend mounted on a wooden base.
