Set of magnets developed from paperweights by Clichy Glasshouse (French, 1837-1885),  L.J. Maes, Clichy (1837), and Cristalleries de Saint Louis (French, founded in 1586), from the Art Institute of Chicago’s collection.

Using a fifteenth-century glass-making technique called millefiori; Italian for “one thousand flowers,” French glassmakers revived the technique with a cultural twist. Arranged to evoke traditional French gardens such as the Tuileries in Paris, glass paperweights brought a little of this landscaping magic indoors.

Our set of 4 magnets are perfect to hold a grocery list, save a date, or simply add visual interest to your office décor.
